Elisa Hernandez, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, is a movement-based artist with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Temple University. She is a dancer, choreographer, movement director and producer, having worked on a collection of dance films, performed in various multi-media and site-specific works around NYC, and produced intergenerational and accessible dance parties for the community. Her work grows from her fascination with improvisation and corporality, and aims to make dance experiential to all audiences.

As of the fall of 2020, Elisa is a recipient of the Disability. Dance. Artistry. Residency Program, created by Dance/NYC and its program partner Gibney Dance. It is made possible by the generous support of the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation, the Ford Foundation, NYC Culture Disability Forward Fund, and the Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation.
