Elisa Hernandez, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, is a movement-based artist and administrator with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Temple University. She is a dancer, choreographer, movement director and DJ, having worked on a music video, a collection of dance films, and performed in various multi-media and site-specific works around NYC and NJ. Her work grows from her fascination with improvisation, meditative practices and floorwork, and aims to make dance accessible and experiential to all audiences.

As of the fall of 2020, Elisa is a recipient of the Disability. Dance. Artistry. Residency Program, created by Dance/NYC and its program partner Gibney Dance. It is made possible by the generous support of the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation, the Ford Foundation, NYC Culture Disability Forward Fund, and the Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation.
